Thursday Co-ed Advanced LeagueThursday Co-ed League RulesFieldsAll games will be at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Remember, NO ALCOHOL is allowed on the fields. This means no beer, etc. at after game cookouts. If we lose our fields, the league is over. GamesGames start at 6:45 p.m. You’re encourage to show up early (say around 6:15) to find the right field, change, warm up, do a few drills, etc. Games are to 15. There will be no time cap, but the captains may agree to call the game on account of darkness. RulesWe are playing under the UPA 11th Edition Rules. You can get a copy from the UPA website at http://www.upa.org/ultimate/rules/rules.shtml There are a few exceptions we’d like to highlight:
PlayersThe standard gender ratio is 4 males and 3 females. However, teams can play any gender ratio (5m/2f, 4f/3m, offense chooses, etc) if captains mutually agree on it before the game. If a team has less than 4 males or 3 females but the captains can't agree on a different ratio, then the short team can either play short or forfeit and play pickup. Walk-on players (such as visitors or friends) are allowed, with the following limitations:
Please remember that registered players have paid for the opportunity to play. Having walk-on players reduces playing time for registered players and is not fair to them. Information BoardAn information board will be set up each week near the fields. Please be sure to check the board each week for notices, team standings, lost & found, etc. First AidA small first aid kit and a bag of ice are kept at the information board. These supplies are for those who need them in emergencies only. Please do not use first aid supplies for routine taping/bandaging. Rain and LightningIn case of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 6:00 pm about whether to cancel to the games. If severe weather is imminent, games will be canceled and an announcement placed on the TCUL website (www.mnultimate.org). Games may also be canceled at game time or during the game if there is lightning anywhere in the area. If your game is canceled, please do not play. |
